Soap And Glory Daily Smooth

I picked this product up in Boots when Soap and Glory had a 3 for 2 offer on. I picked this as my third product as I had never tried it out before and hadn't heard much about it. I honestly don't know what made me pick it as it is marketed as a body lotion and I am more of a body butter girl. I like a really rich cream that leaves a residue on your skin.Well, even though it is called a lotion it is in fact is way more similar to a body butter, and I adore it!
First off, it has the trademark Soap and Glory scent which I am a big fan of and it lingers on your skin for hours after using this lotion. Daily smooth is extremely rich but still sinks into the skin. I apply it just before bed and when I wake up in the morning my skin still appears super moisturised.
The bottle is the only thing that annoys me about this product as when I am applying this to my body my hands can get slippy and then it proves difficult pumping out more product, but this is only a minor flaw.
It is great value for money considering you get 500mls. I am flying through my bottle but I think I am slightly over zealous in applying moisturiser as I always tend to fly through all my moisturisers. I would definitely repurchase this product and am looking forward to trying the shower gel from this line.

Have you tried any Soap & Glory products? What are your favourites?

Haul: A Little Boot Crazy

I recently went on an adventure to Enniskillen in Northern Ireland. I love popping up there as they have  a much greater selection of products and at much better prices. My first port of call when I arrived was Superdrug. I picked up all of the above products there. I was delighted to find a mini toothbrush and toothpaste that I can pop into my handbag. I have been looking for a mini toothbrush in my local shops for months now to no avail. I also picked up nail varnish remover and sponges in order to try and make my own Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover. I will blog about it when I do it regardless of the outcome. I bought Rimmel Lipstick in shade 101 as on bloggers chat recently everyone was saying how much they loved this colour so I thought it was worth a try, so far I love it.

MUA Pro Palette Undressed
MUA Pro Base Natural - Medium Rose
MUA Blush Perfection Cream Blusher Blossom
MUA Blush Perfection Cream Blusher Dolly

Next up I picked up these MUA products in Superdrug as MUA is not available in Ireland and I have always wanted to try it. I have tried the eyeshadows and adore them but so far I am not keen on the creme blushes.

New Look Studded Brown Biker Boots

You might be looking at this blog post and thinking girl you are crazy the same boots just in different colours! Yes, guilty! But I kinda of have an excuse. Originally I purchased the brown boots online before I went to Enniskillen but they had yet to arrive. Whilst I was browsing New Look I spotted the same Boots in black and liked the look of them and I thought to myself I could do with a pair of black boots as I currently live in tan Uggs and want to change it up a bit and start wearing my black Topshop leigh skinnies again.

New Look Black Mid Length Buckle Boots

I was watching LetzMakeup on You Tube and seen she had picked up these black boots for work and I thought they looked really cute but also comfy. These will be perfect for pairing with black jeans/leggings for a smart casual look.

Primark Tights
Tesco Socks

Finally I picked up new tights in Primark. Unfortunately I was looking for the super cosy brand but there were sold out. My lovely Mum picked me up these socks while she was in Tesco. I thought they were too cute not to include.

I also picked up a few clothing items on my travels but I am waiting for the sun to come out so that I can take decent photographs.

Particularly For Students: Unidays

I just wanted to do a quick post to let my fellow students know about Unidays. It offers discounts on all the top brands for students. I am a huge fan of this website as they haven't forgotten about us Irish students. I use to find websites like Topshop and New Look would require a NUS card which I don't have as I am a student in Ireland, even though I am entitled to their in store discount. Unidays is really handy you just sign up and enter in your student details and you can get a discount codes for Topshop, Boohoo, Asos to name a few. They also run competitions where the prize is a gift card to a certain stores. I am not getting sponsored for this post, I just wanted to let you girls know about it in case you were in the same situation as myself.

New Years Resolutions: 2013

Eat Healthy
I am a really picky eater and will always choose chocolate over any food with nutritional value. My aim this year is this make more healthy choices and try and eat three balances meals a day. I hope by doing this I will have more energy and feel better about myself. I am going to eat healthy all week and have a treat day on a Saturday. I know if I deprive myself entirely I will fall off the wagon mid January.

positive attitude
Be More Positive
I can be pretty negative at times and feel sorry for myself when I having a difficult time. I am going to try and remain positive and be gratefully for all the things I have.

Stuff I Do To Make Myself Feel Better : Admit it, sometimes we all get so down that we have a hard time motivating. It happens to the best of us. When sadness hit you hard, it can be really debilitating. Without trying to oversimplify what might be a very complicated emotional situation (all due respect to your feelings), I’d like to suggest a couple of cheap pick-me-ups, for those times when you just don’t have the luxury of lying in bed all day with a box of tissues, watching old tearjerker movies.
Make time for myself
This one should really be at the top of my list. My college schedule is grueling this year and I keep getting extremely stressed. I want to ensure this doesn't happen this year and that I actually take time to relax and take care of myself. This included simple things such as painting my nails, applying fake tan just little measures to make myself feel better.
Drink more water
I always forget to drink or will just have cups of tea throughout the day! It is ridiculous. It's not that I don't like water or anything I just do not think about it. At night time I tend to get pretty thirsty which goes to show I need to keep hydrated. I have been drinking 2L a day lately and surprising I don't even find it a challenge. I am hoping it will help my concentration in college and also my skin will benefit from it.

What are your new years resolutions or do you bother making any? I will update you in February with how I am getting on. Hopefully that will be motivation enough to keep myself on track.

December Favourites

I have been under so much stress lately in college, it is starting to show on my skin. I look really tired all the time and I have developed a couple of spots so I decided it was time to whack out the double wear as I don't know any other foundation as full coverage as this. This has been my saviour this month as it gives my skin a flawless finish and covers up a multitude of sins.

I picked this shade up in September when I "Backed To Mac" some empties. Originally I didn't pass much heed of it and it got lost amongst my collection, but a couple of weeks ago I pulled it out and now I am hooked! It is a lovely mauve shade that is natural but yet looks like my lips but better.

A couple of weeks ago on Bloggers chat a lovely girl ask had anyone used Nars Penny Lane and I thought to myself I have that but havent used it in ages and it use to be one of my staples (as you can see from the picture) It gives a beautiful natural flush to the cheeks. I am a huge fan of creme blushes as I love the dewy finish they give to my dry skin.

Unfortually this is all gone! I am still on my spending diet so can not repurchase it and I have a bottle of Lush's Eau Water to use up so I cant even justify it as an essential. I adore this cleanser and have reviewed it here.

My Mum was kind enough to give this to me because I was whinging that I had run out of all my favourite perfumes. I wasn't expecting to love this as I always stick to my two favourite perfumes Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche and Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy and don't really like to stray from them. This scent is a beautiful flowery scent with a grown up feel to it and what I enjoyed about it was that I found it lasted throughout the day. Every time I moved I could smell it.

Benefit Hoola
This is another product which I have rediscovered lately. I was watching Anna Saccone's
make up routine and as her make up is always beautiful I always keep an eye on the products she is using. Well, she mentioned she always wears Hoola as a contour so I decided to root mine out and do the same. I love that it contains no shimmer and it is a deep enough shade which makes your face appear much slimmer.

Sorry this post is so late. The weather in Ireland is rubbish lately and I am finding it impossible to get decent photographs, hence the photos in the grass. This is the only way I can get enough natural light. Have you any suggestions for me on getting good product pictures? I would really appreciate any advice.

Origins Super Spot Remover

I have wanted to try this product for so long as I have heard such rave reviews about it, but in Ireland it retails for €17.00 which I found hard to justify for such a tiny bottle. I was also skeptical as I have tried and tested so many spot treatments and had never found one that works. I am lucky that I actually don't get many pimples but when I do get the odd few they tend to be the massive underground spots that are more like boils. I was starting to think no treatments work on these type of spots and that unfortunately they just have to run their course which can take up to a week. I am ashamed to admit I am also a picker and cannot leave them alone so they are always angry, red and impossible to cover up.

I asked for this product for Christmas and was hemming and hawing on weather to ask for it, as at the time my skin was behaving and was pretty clear so I didn't feel I had a need for it. Well, thankfully I got it because just after Christmas my skin when into melt down, due to excessive junk and the monthly visitor. My face erupted in approximately four horrific underground craters. Instantly I whipped out the Origins Super Spot Remover.

Low and behold does it exactly what it says on the bottle! It is my saviour. I have only owned this for two weeks and I would consider it holy grail territory. Now I don't want to put you under any false illusions by no means did the spots just vanish into thin air after one application, but when I felt the little pesky buggers under my skin I applied a tiny amount of the spot treatment on the affected area twice a day and the spots slowly disappeared. They took about three days to vanish which is a huge improvement as it usually takes a week. They also never got red and angry or came to the surface so I was able to cover them perfectly with concealer. And a major benefit was that at no stage did the skin around the offending areas become dry and flakey. That tends to be a major problem with my skin, that when I apply harsh products my skin reacts and this makes the spot stand out even more.

I would highly recommend this product if you suffer the same cursed under ground spots as me. Regarding the steep price tag, after using it I genuinely feel it is worth every cent and as you only need the tiniest amount of product so it will last a long time. I think I will write an entire post dedicated to all the spot treatments I have tried and tested. I have some more affordable alternatives that may help if some of you suffer from pimples rather than cysts.

Have you tried Origins Super Spot Remover? What do you think of it? Or have you any other holy grail spot treatments? Please let me know in the comments.

NOTD: Barry M Pink Glitter

This is one of the polishes from my Christmas haul. It is actually a free gift in Boots when you buy any two Barry M Products, so you can get three nail varnishes for the price of two. I had hinted that I would like this polish for Christmas. There is also a gold one available and I am temped to pick it up considering how much I love this one.

Anyway back to the nail varnish. I love this colour it makes me feel festive but because it is pink you could properly get away with wearing it throughout the year. It applied beautifully and dried super fast which I was amazed at. In the above picture I applied two coats but you could even get away with one coat. The only negative is that it chipped the very next day but to be honest this was my fault as I neglected to apply a top coat.

What is your favourite Barry M colour? Im looking forward to trying out some more colours from their range.
