OPI Nail Envy

You may have observed from some of my previous NOTD posts that I am slightly addicted to gel nails. I wear them on a regular basis. Lately, my gel nails have been peeling and breaking very easily. I took this as a sign that it was time to give my nails a break. When the gels came off my nails were not in the best condition. On my next visit to Boots I spotted O.P.I Nail Envy and decided to purchase it on impulse as I was frustrated with my ugly nails. I have wanted to try this product for ages but it is very expensive retailing for €21.99, but I figured it would it be worth it if it improved the condition of my nails.

Now this is where it gets slightly complicated. As I previously mentioned my gel nails kept breaking and I decided to give my nails a rest but during this time I was graduating and I wanted perfect nails for the day so, I decided to go to a salon in Dublin called NU-U and get shellac done. I have gotten shellac done on previous occasions and was never happy, it always pealed within the first week. But the girl in NU-U was absolutely amazing! I will never get my nails done anywhere else. The shellac lasted an entire 4 weeks and when I removed it, my nails were super long and in good condition. I started applying the O.P.I Nail envy underneath my nail varnishes and my nails have stayed long and strong for the past 6 weeks.  I feel the Nail Envy has really benefited my nails. They manage to grow very long and don't split. Also I have noticed my nail varnish has been lasting much longer.

I thought I would include a picture of my nails when I first got the shellac applied when they were very short and then a recent picture of them after using the Nail Envy for approx. 3 weeks.
Have you tried Opi's Nail Envy? What did you think of it?
